Universal Health Care

So... last night... while not sleeping ... I caught an episode of Jay Leno. (It was aired a couple weeks ago)

Anyway...he had Dennis Miller on...who was just cracking me up, I must say...and he was mentioning "Universal Health Care".

This is something that I've always been against...VERY strongly...

But, Dennis Miller made it clear...

Seriously, why do we need the government to run our health care????? It would be NO different than going to the DMV!

Seriously...we already spend around an hour of our life, once a year, in a gross...smelly...long ass line...just to get our license plates (etc) renewed...do we really want that same experience when going to the doctor?!??!

I. Think. NOT!

You may have other views...and you are entitled to your opinion...but as for me (and this is MY blog...so I can state whatever I want)...I am WAY against having the government run ANYTHING else for us! (Banks, Dr's Offices, etc)

Seriously...it's just too much!

Thankful Thursday

Da-dum...Da-dum...Da-dum...

It's Thursday again...(and I don't know what was with the "Da-dums"...I'm in a silly mood today)

#1) Good Music: Generally I love music...I love all types of music...I'm ALWAYS listening to music. Tonight I'm going to Rascal Flatts...and I love Rascal Flatts!!

#2) Great Friends: I have some of the best friends EVER! I love them all to pieces! Some I am closer with than others...but I still love them all!!

#3) Nice Weather: It has been so pretty here this past week. With temps in the mid to high 50's...sunshine...ahhhhh....too bad it's supposed to snow tonight. =(

#4) Awesome Hubby: He's so good to let me get out every so often to be with my friends and just do girlie things! Thanks babe!!

Wrong Side of the Bed

Ever have one of those days?

I totally woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

I could it was going to be 'one of those days' as soon as I woke up ... I just felt annoyed at the alarm clock!

Then driving to work...I wasn't using my hissing techniques ... I was straight out swearing up a storm. (thank goodness Bailee wasn't in the car)

I think right now would be a good time to make a quick little list of the little things I am loving right now...it should make me feel better...right!?

-Bailee's "morning-face"...I love how sweet her little face looks right when she wakes up! She is usually still asleep when I leave in the morning, but today she was up watching cartoons...so I got to see her adorable little sleepy face...melts. my. heart!

-The numbers on my scale getting smaller, and smaller, and smaller... GO ME!

- The fact that I have a job.

-Coming home to a perfectly cleaned house...(even though it doesn't happen all that often...hint-hint)

-Nice clients! (they seem to come few and far between, though)

-Clothes fitting much looser than normal...again this calls for a...GO ME!

-Friendly co-worker...(I like to call them work family)

-The Rascal Flatts concert that I get to attend with my good buddy, Erika, next week!

Alright...I do feel a little better now...

Thankful Thursday

My list is quite simple this week...infact...it isn't a list at all...

I am thankful for my family. Every last one of them. I love my family more than anything in this world!!

The Curse of the Rambler

This past Sunday we drove down to Santaquin to see my dad speak in Church. (something that we were all in shock to learn that he agreed to do so)

My dad was 3rd in line to give his talk....

The first girl got up to give hers...and ended up talking for almost 30 minutes. Which in turn made the 2nd girl have to cut her talk extremely short...

The Primary was supposed to sing a song before my Dad gave his talk...but, after the 2nd girl there was "absolutely no time left". So, they asked the Primary to sing next week...and then cut out my dad's talk.

All because of this one girl. Who couldn't keep herself from rambling on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on....(you get the idea)

Seriously! After about 10 minutes of listening to her speak...the whole room became abuzz and no one was paying any attention to her. It was sad, really...

It wouldn't have bothered me so much if her talk was actually about something deep and meaningful...instead it was just a bunch of rambling. (in her defense...it did start out good)

I could go on, and on, and on.....

The great thing is though, they asked my dad to bear his testimony instead of giving his talk...and...wow! My Dad is the greatest!!! I am happy that we were actually able to hear him speak...even though it wasn't his talk...the testimony was much greater!

Love you Dad!! I'm proud of you!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!!!

My Grandpa turned 71 on Valentines Day...and on Sunday we stopped by just as they were getting ready to sing "Happy Birthday" to him.

My uncle was short by 15 candles...so he got the brilliant idea of putting the "61" plus ten regular candles.

Grandpa had Bailee help him blow out all the candles!

While at the grocery store last night...I was buying some produce...the sprayers came on...when I turned around...this is what Bailee was doing....

Random Item #1: I love, love, LOVE vinegar!! All types!! I drive people nuts here at work...because I use it on my salads at lunch...(like I am now)...and most of them hate it...oh-well! I love vinegar! I love soaking my cucumbers over-night it, drenching my subway sandwiches in it... I. Love. It.

Random Item #2: I can't sleep without being completely covered by blankets...Eric laughs at me because the only thing that sticks out is my nose and mouth...everything thing else is totally covered!!

Random Item #3: I am OCD about the way my clothes are lined up in my closet. They have to all be facing the same way, and go from tank tops-jackets...all in order... I do the same with Bailee's closet...and it irks me so bad when they are out of order! So, I generally try to stay out of her closet...or I'll pull my hair out.

Random Item #4: I love photos and pictures that Bailee draws to surround my desk area at work...today as I brought in this cute 'Valentine Caterpillar' that Bailee drew for me...to hang it in my area...one of my co-workers said, "Don't you have a refrigerator at home?" ... Which I returned with..."It's completely covered as well." ... check out my desk decor and you can decide for yourself...

Random Item #5: I have a hard time throwing away junk... I like to keep almost EVERYTHING! (I swear...one day I really will need it!) Slowly things have been disappearing...I'm sure it's not my dear husband...who hates that I can't throw anything out...right? It couldn't be him...

Random Item #6: I think my middle name should be "Random" ... because I am doing AND saying random things all the time. And since I don't have a middle name...Random works great!! :-D Jamilyn Random Wray ... (oh yeah...and did I mention that I'm awesome?)

Thankful Thursday

Geeze! These weeks are just flying right by!!! I can't believe we are already 1/2 way through February!!!!

1) My Fireplace: I have been FREEZING all the time!! And it doesn't seem like our heater in our dumb apartment works very well...so...I love lighting up the fire and trying my best to warm up!

2) My Afghan: My super, fantastic mom made me this super, fantastic blanky for my birthday...I'm greatful for it...because, just like I said in #1...I. Freeze. Constantly! ... I cover up in it while watching television...and then I through it over my covers on my bed for that extra warmth!

3) Bailee: Everyday I get home from work....she just cheers me up! I love that little girl MORE than life itself!! She's amazing!

4) Will Power & Determination: Yes...I am mentioning this again...I surprise myself with how awesome I am! (still not ready to elaborate)

5) Dear Husband: He's so awesome at being "Mr. Mom"...yeah...he may be pretty lazy most days...yeah...he may not get everything done that I ask him to do...BUT...he is the bestest at taking care of Bailee!! And I love him for doing so awesome at my job...I do miss being the "Mom" though...

This time I went blonder...with some dark streaks...and my 'under-neaths' are really dark...I am lovin' it!!

Coraline in 3D

Bailee has been wanting to see this movie since she first saw the previews. So, on Sunday we decided to take her to it.

Watching a movie in 3D is pretty awesome! I've never done it in a movie theater before...it makes the effects that much better.

However, I decided that going to a kid 3D movie isn't such a good idea...every 2 seconds you hear these kids squealing...."Woah! That almost touched me...." and "Grandma!! Did you see that?!!!". That, and they lean forward trying to grab the images and I kept getting the back of my seat bumped into when they would reach out too far.

It was still fun. And Bailee enjoyed it!

The "Soy-Kiss"

Alright...Bailee received in her "Tuesday Folder" from school last week a free admission to the Circus...seeing I haven't been since before I even remember going...(yeah...that long ago)...and because Bailee is excited...AND because we are big on going out and doing lots and lots and lots of family things on my days off...we are going to venture out to the Circus tonight.

I'm nervous.

I'm a little afraid.

And I have no idea why!

But, Eric says...."We're going anyway!"

Here we go...another week...another Thursday...another 'Thankful Thursday' post!

1) Mother: I love how close we have become. I love, love, LOVE it!! (and Mom...I love, love, LOVE you!!!)

2) Will Power: Like last week...I am happy and proud to report that my will power has been awesome again this week!!

3) Mrs. Crossley: She is the bestest Kindergarten teacher EVER!! (besides my K teacher Mrs. Densley)...Bailee is learning so much and advancing so far! Thank you Mrs. Crossley!!

4) Determination: Like my will power...I am doing awesome this week with the determination as well...no...I still don't feel like elaborating on why...yet!

5) Great Girlfriends: On February 26th I get to go to Rascal Flatts with my high school bud Erika!!! I really, really, really can not wait!!! YAY!!!

Silly Bailee

Tonight after I made dinner for Bailee...she decided she wanted to pretend that she, Tipsee, and Care Bear were out to dinner at a Restraunt.

Here are the pics...it was too funny not to share!!

The funniest part is Tipsee eating her Kitty food up to the table...while sitting in a doll high-chair! I was almost rolling on the floor with laughter! I love my Gooey...she keeps me smiling!

My Smarty Pants

We had Parent/Teacher Conferences this week for Bailee...and...she is doing...AMAZING!!

She is a "straight-A" student...and her teacher says she's very "mature" for her age...(ex. asking others what they'd like to play...instead of doing what she wants to do)

I'm so proud of my Goo!! She's growing up so fast! She's learning so much and reading so much too!!

I couldn't have hand picked a better Kindergarten teacher for my Bee.
