Alright...6 months later...I finally have PHOTOS!

So, back in early December I posted a blog about the Wray Family Christmas Party...spent in a cabin in Park City...

Today I FINALLY have the pictures!!!

Kids say the darndest...

-k-
Everyone knows that children are naive in what they say... Bailee cracks me up DAILY with the little things that pop out of her mouth.
As I was typing my last Blog about my sore throat...she came up to me and asked me this question...
"Mom, does Tippy know how to fart?"
Ah...the innocence of childhood!!

All over again...

...sore throat!!
I thought I was in the clear...it didn't hurt near as bad yesterday...and today it barely hurt at all. And then...just out of nowhere...it is hurting sooooooo bad! I can barely swallow!!

OUCHIE!!!

I do NOT want to spend another weekend in bed!!! I want to get out and enjoy the sunshine!! Go play outside with my daugther!!

And, I want to be able to go out with my friend Jenna tomorrow night! I rarely get to spend any time with her.

Hopefully a goods night rest will make it magically better overnight!! ;-)

Missing my Grandma Ashton

Seeing today is Memorial Day...I thought I'd post a picture of my late Grandma on here...and write down the talk I gave at her funeral...

I love and miss you Grandma!!!

~Esther Faye Durrant Ashton~

2/19/1941 - 11/22/2005

"We each have a choice to approach life as a creator or a critic, a lover or a hater, a giver or a taker.

Grandma chose to be a creator, a lover, and a giver. She created a wonderful life for herself and loved everyone she came in contact with. Grandma was always a giver, never a taker. All she cared about was making sure everyone around her was comfortable. I rarely ever saw her taking time to herself.

Grandma had the biggest heart of anyone I've ever come across in life. She was so understanding and full of compassion. Always willing to help.

Grandma loved taking care of her children and her grandchildren. They were the lights of her life. Her greatest calling on Earth was to be a Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.

I have heard so many stories from my father about my grandma as he was growing up. And I have many stories about her that I can hold in my heart and share with my family.

Grandma had a knack for artistic qualities. Even as a small child I can remember how wonderful of an Artist she was. Grandma could turn the smallest thing into a work of art. I have many small things that Grandma has made over the years. She took an empty bleach carton and turned it into the most beautiful Easter basket. She was truly amazing with her art. I still remember sitting up to the table with her and our coloring books. I always hoped I could grow up and be able to color like her.

Another thing Grandma had a wonderful knack for was cooking. Just thinking about her food makes my mouth water and my stomach rumble. There wasn't a time that I would visit her and not eat her delicious cooking. Even if you just popped by for a few hours, she could still whip something up from scratch and it would taste amazing. She could make anything taste wonderful.

Grandma also had a remedy, or as some call it, 'Old Wives Tale' for everything. I still remember coming in after playing for too long in the sun and getting an awful sunburn. Grandma told me to put vinegar all over it, because it would soothe the burn and take the sting out. And she was right! I still use this method to this day!

I loved the time I got to spend with my Grandma as a child. Almost every summer would would get to spend a week with her and Grandpa. That was alot of fun. The big memory that sticks out in my mind of spending a week in summer with them is when they were campground hosts. Grandma and Grandpa took us fishing everyday. And we'd roast hot dogs and marshmallows over the campfire at night.

When I think of Grandma, the biggest memory I have is of when we would leave her house. She would always stand out on the front porch and wave to us until we were out of sight. She never wanted us to leave.

Grandma was absolutely wonderful with kids. She was always ready with toys whenever a child was around. When Bailee was about 10 months old and we went to visit her...she had left over toys from Happy Meals that she would let Bailee play with.

Grandma was also so great with her pups. I don't know of anyone who spoils their pets like she did. If you just take one look at Skipper, you can tell he isn't a dog...he is human.

As I got older, I never spent as much time with her as I now wish I did.

She was a wonderful, caring, giving human being. I only hope she knows how much she meant to me.

The last few moments I spent by her beside I will never forget. I love her so much. She has taught me so much. She taught me about love, patience, and understanding. I only wish I could be at least half of the woman that she was.

I am saddened that she won't be able to teach Bailee all the wonderful things she taught me. But, I will make sure that no memory is ever forgotten. Bailee will know all about her Great-Grandma, and what a great example she was.

Even in her own pain and suffering she continued to serve her family and care for others. She was never one to be fussed over. Even today, she wouldn't want us wallowing for her. If she were here I know that she would be coming around to each and everyone and comforting us. She wouldn't want us to be sad.

We will never be able to forget our Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, or Friend. There isn't enough darkness in all the world to put out the light of even one small candle. We will continue to hold her in our hearts. And as the days go by, so will we. It will get easier, because I know that we will see her again. And she'll be waiting with arms wide open for us.

Until then, I will honor her and continue to think about and love her."

Jabber-jabber...

Ho-hum...

Today is Memorial Day...and the weather here is rainy and dreery.

I am still batteling my sore throat, however, today it seems slightly better.

I think I spent over 30 hours sleeping this weekend. So, I am not tired right now.

I am trying to get caught up with all my laundry...blah!!

Tomorrow the week begins again. Back to work!! Oh, I am loving this job!! All the people I work with are great. And, I feel that I am fitting in nicely.

Bailee started KinderCare last week. She loves it. Although, she is having a hard time not being home to play with her friends whenever she would like. But, she is adjusting.

Anyway...I'm bored...laundry is in the washer...and I have nothing better to do...so, I thought I'd jabber on and on...through here... But, now I am bored of this too..

So, ttyl

Sick

It all started Wednesday...
I was hoping it was just allergies, but...NOPE!
My throat is so sore and so swollen...
I think I may have Strep. But, my insurance doesn't kick in until July 1st...so I don't want to go to the doctor.
I have been spending my 3 day weekend in bed...drugged on cold meds...trying to nurse this thing away.

Grrr......sickness SUCKS!

Bailee Nicole is HOME!

Oh, my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!! She has been MISSED soooooo much!!

I was able to see her for about 2 hours on Mother's Day...(NOT ENOUGH!)...

And...as I have let most people know...she was supposed to be gone til the 30th....

BUT...luckily...I was able to get my FIRST check from Wells today!!!!!

So...of course! The first thing we did was have our baby come home!!!

Tomorrow I am still trying to decide on taking her to the Zoo or to Lagoon....one or the other...I just want to take her out to have some FUN!!!!
I have missed my darling daughter! I do NOT want to be without her for this long EVER again!

A week without the Goo

Yes, yes, yes....
It has been a week without my Gooey!
And, oh-boy! It has been HARD!!!! This mother misses her daughter so darn much!! I don't like having her away!!!
Although, being able to 'adjust' to working again...without having to deal with morning and bedtime routines with a child...has had its advantages this past week.

STILL!!! She is my darling Googie-Bear and I miss her ooodles and ooodles!!!

This MAMA is not quite a MAMA...(or one at all)...without her Baby BEE!!!!!

And, this house is definately NOT the same without her sweet spirit running us wild!!!

Her kitty...(our other child...lol)...Tips has been, OBVIOUSLY, bored without her playmate...AKA...her "partner in crime"! lol

Plus...All of her friends come by every day...a few times a day asking for her to come out and play... (YES! She IS Miss Popular in this neighborhood. Seriously, I am not kidding! Most of the time...I wish I was!!! She has Jessie, Tanner, Daxton (boyfriend), and Kylie...ETC coming over DAILY for their dose of Bailee!

She is totally enjoying herself though...

Every day I LOVE calling her!! She shrieks with excitement when my step-mom, Angie, tells her that the phone is for her.
I always ask her what she is going to do, or what she has done....and most of her answers are always the same.

THE BEST ANSWERS have been the ones she's given me the past 2 days....(examples)...
-I ask her what she's going to do that day...and she replies..."I'm going to jump on the Tramp....and then chase the chickens!"
-I tell her that she's going to be staying there for a few weeks....and she replies..."Oh no! I'm going to get sick of it!" (granted...her grandpa(my dad) put that in her head! lol.
-She tells me that Uncle Micah is going to a friends' for a sleep over, I ask what she's going to do without Micah there. Bailee replies, "Oh, I don't know Mom. I'll just be bored all night long!"
-I ask her what she did during the day, and she replies, "I chased Muskrat around the yard and now I'm having a party with the cats"
***THIS NEXT ONE IS A SPECIAL ONE***
My step mom went to deliver flowers to her mothers grave early for Mother's Day. Bailee was with her on this particular trip. My curious child asked Ang (her grandma) why she was putting flowers there.....and so....Angie explained as well as she could about the fact that her mom was buried under the ground...etc, etc, etc... And, my child...so curious and clever, and so young and naieve...kept telling Angie that she wanted her to dig up the ground so she could see her. PROOF that children are sooooo INNOCENT and can say the DARNDEST things at all times!!

Basically...I miss my daughter!

I miss her more than anything in this world!! It is hard to function without her being here with me!!

I am so glad that we received our Rebate Check today...so hopefully we'll be able to bring her home in the next week!!!!!!!

(Yeah....She is staying at my Dad's house with my Step-Mom, Angie, because I started a new job...and can't afford the Daycare...YET)

Awake at 4:30am!!

Shouldn't be too much of a surprise to most...

Jamilyn Wray has problems with INSOMNIA!!!

And, starting work this week had it's ups and downs.

But, really...the only downs had to do with the Insomnia, because all of my ups seemed to come from working!!

Oh, by the way...if you haven't gathered from this blog, so far, (lol) I am totally ENJOYING my new job!!! I seriously LOVE every single person I work with!!!!!!!! (NO exceptions!) All my mentors, all my managers, my trainer, and the other 4 boys who are going through this training with me. I LOVE THEM!!! I have gained a bunch of new 'brothers'...that's how I look at it!! They are all goofy, silly, crazy, and lovable!!

I forgot how much I LOVE working for a living!!!!!!!

It's been quite some time!

Well, it sure has been awhile since I have posted...and LOTS of things have changed...
I have a whole SLEW of photos that I need to upload.

First off, I am proud to report that I started a new job yesterday. I am working for Wells Fargo in The Private Bank department, or as other Wells Fargo Employees call it...(TPB)...
So far- I LOVE IT!!!

I am making much more money!! And we are starting to be able to fully breathe again!!

YAY!!

Too bad I have to wait til the 30th to get my first check! Oh-well...It'll be worth it!!

Anyway...I just thought I'd post a quick update...I'll try and be better...and I'll try and post some new pictures and blog about what has been going on the past month and a half.
