Thanksgiving

I had such a wonderful day yesterday!

However, I did not take really any photos. The only photos I did take were of Bailee and my cousin Brooke's daugther. (which you can view at the bottom of this post)

So, Thanksgiving was spent at my Grandma's house. And....MY MAMA WAS THERE!! (I haven't seen her since February)

I made some really yummy cheeseballs for part of the appetizers...

The food was DELISH! (as always!)

After dinner we went bowling. A big tradition in our family. (I haven't been in YEARS, because I usually spend Thanksgiving at my Dads) It was so much fun! I did horribly...really horribly...infact...my score was 52. LOL...I blame it on my wrist...it's been driving me nuts lately. Eric, on the other hand bowled a TURKEY for Turkey Day! His final score was like 169 or something. He had the highest score out of everyone. Yay for my Hubby!

After bowling we drove to Eric's brothers' house. Eric's parents were spending Thanksgiving with them. It was alot of fun. We don't get to see much of Eric's family, (heck, we don't see much of mine either)...but it was nice. Eric and I played a little Guitar Hero with the kids...and Bailee had fun doing crafts, playing with their kitties, and just running around. I enjoyed catching up with Amber, my sister-in-law. We gabbed about our blogs...LOL... Thanks Amber for that delicious Pumpkin Cheesecake Pie that I more than probably could have done without....it was really, really good! It was really nice to see Doug and Gloria (Eric's parents) as well...I love them to pieces!

It was one of the better Thanksgivings I've had in so long. I love my family. I love my husbands family. And I really wish we all lived closer so that we could all be 'closer'.

Anyway...here are a few pictures of Bailee and Kaydance...the only Thanksgiving photos I took this year...

I got my hair did!

On Tuesday night my friend Andrea came over to give my hair a much needed color!

The "blah" before

Super cute Andrea doin' my hair in my kitchen

All foiled-up

All done!...Lovin' it!

There are some really, really pretty red tones...the lighting in my kitchen doesn't do it any justice! Thanks Andrea! You are the bestest!!

***DISCLAIMER***Yes, that is a BYU shirt you see me wearing...no worries...I do still HATE BYU...I only wore it because I don't care if it gets ruined by the color! (hee-hee)

Officially an Ashton

What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving....

Today...November 26, 2008...my dad was able to finally OFFICIALLY adopt my step-brother, Tristan.

Tristan was born on September 5, 1995. Eleven days after my dad married my step-mom, Angie. Tristan really hasn't known his real father (known 'of' him, and been around him, but not "known" him). My dad has always been his dad. From the day he was able to say the word "Dad".....that word has always been for my Daddy.

Today, finally, after many years of working to get this thing taken care of...(and letting Tristan turn 12 and be able to make that decision on his own)...my Dad was able to give him his last name.

No longer a Peters...now an Ashton.

I am soooooo very excited and happy for this!!

Enjoy a few pictures of my little brother Tristan (12).

Open Letter

Dear Down Stairs Neighbors,

We really do not appreciate your loud surround system.

Every night we have to turn up our 'normal' television as loud as we can just to hear it. And, we can STILL hear your 'system' over ours.

I understand that we already had this conversation about your nuisance.

The reason I am writing tonight has to do with the smoking...
Tonight, like every night...we like to enjoy some night air....leave our windows open...

Anyhow- would it be that much to ask of you to NOT smoke right where the air is going to come right into our living room?

Seriously...I was about to take a bite to eat of my dinner...when my nose/mouth was totally filled with cigarette smoke. That and I would like my daughter to enjoy a full and happy life without the second hand smoked up lungs...

You should hopefully understand...you do have a young child yourself.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could actually walk out into the parking lot like you are supposed to do anyway.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Your frustrated upstairs neighbors

*thanks Tiburon for the photo

Holy S**t

So, I haven't had a chance in probably a month or so to stalk the celebrity blog sites like I usually do.

So, my surprise to see that the most retarded 'Celeb-Reality' stars eloped. Good God. How lame.

I watch the Hills...it drives me nuts that I do. But, I do. And every time I watch an episode...not only am I ripping on how lame they all are (and how much I would love to rip out Spencer's eyes)...but I am pretty sure I have lost just that much more intelligence.

Whooppee...another couple that will more than likely not last!

School Pictures

So, we got Bailee's school pictures back today.

I think they turned out really cute! Which is good, because I was worried! I have always been there when she has had her pictures taken...you know, to make sure she smiles cute, etc...so I've been nervous to see how these would turn out.

I love them!!!

Hamming it up

Bailee and I are...well...we are just plain silly.

We love to take crazy photos of ourselves with my camera phone...

She is 100% my 'Mini-Me'!

Here are a few from our 'Photo Shoot' on Saturday night....(while watching the Utes win)...

Question of the Day

To answer Tib's question:

If you could have any celebrity physique be your own - who would you choose? Why? (You can still keep your head - it would just be a different body - from the neck down...)

I really like what Britney Spears looks like now-a-days...still curvy...but still toned and hot!

But I also wouldn't mind going back to myself 6 years ago...Hee-Hee...

Silly Silly Silly

I stole this from Tib. But I had too...I am soooooo super excited for tomorrow!

What good is the Friday before the Holy War without a little trash talkin'?

BYU football practice was delayed nearly two hours yesterday after a player
reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the practice field.

Head Coach, Bronco Mendenhall, immediately suspended practice while police
and federal agents were called to investigate. After a complete analysis, FBI
forensic experts determined the white substance, unknown to the players, was
the goal line. Practice was resumed today after special agents decided the team
was unlikely to encounter the substance again.

Ha-ha-ha!!

GO UTAH!!!! RUNNIN' UTES!!!

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful that I have health insurance. Bailee's doctor visit tonight only cost me $20 for the co-pay and $10 for the antibiotic. Much better than last Spring when it cost me close to $200 without the insurance.

You never know how good it is...until it is gone!!

Kids Care

So, the last thing I want to do right after work is go and spend 2 1/2 hours at the Dr's office. But, that's life when you have a sick child!

Hour waiting in the waiting room...Hour waiting in the exam room....half hour at the pharmacy.

At least they had things to keep Bailee occupied.

She has a double ear infection...at least she doesn't have Strep! That is going around at her school.
At least we have the antibiotics...and she should be feeling MUCHO better in about 24-48 hours.

Question of the Day

Alright, to answer Tiburons question:

What do I want for Christmas this year...

I think everyone should know by now that ALL I want for Christmas is to pee on the stick and finally see TWO lines...instead of that heart-breaking one.

But, what I really want this year is for Eric to be able to get on to a wonderful job that will open him up to some new opportunities. I love that man to pieces...and all I want is for him to succeed!

I also want Bailee to have a wonderful Christmas. Despite the fact that I have to work on Christmas Day...(and possibly Eric, if he gets a new job before then)...I really just want her to have a good time!!

And for my 'material item'... I would really like a new camera. I doubt I will get it...(because the one I want is super expensive...) but, that's what I want.

What do you want??

The Holy War

I am sooooooo excited for Saturday!!

GO UTES!!

Homework

Bailee saw me taking random photos of different things in our house...she asked me to take a picture of her for my Blog.

This is Bailee holding up her finished homework.

Tagity, Tag, Tag

Ha-ha! So, I was tagged by my sister in-law, Jessica, back on August 28th...(almost 3 months ago...but who's counting??!!)

Anyway...I am just getting around to doing it. (That and I am waiting for the laundry to be finished and thought I'd kill some time on the ole bloggeroo)

Since the rules were to take the pictures as is, I strictly followed that, so make sure you keep that in mind! Here goes:

#1 Self Portrait:
(yes...I enjoy being a ham...keeps me young! LOL)

#2 Kitchen Sink:

#3 Favorite Room: I picked the guest/Bailee's bathroom because as of right now...it is probably one of the cleanest rooms in the house...that and I just bought the new rugs and decor...I couldn't get a good picture of the sink and counter...but it looks pretty sweet as well...I love green and cream!

#4 Laundry Room:

I am in the middle of doing the laundry right now...

#5 The Fridge:
Bailee keeps it decorated...I keep it full! (today was grochery day!)

#6 Master Bath:
Don't judge...LOL...

#7 My Closet:

Yeah...I still haven't unpacked all of my clothes from our move back in August...I may still be living out of suit-case, and I also may still have a trunk full of all my other clothes...basically the only thing in my closet is a bunch of boxes that I still need to go through...my wedding dress, and Bailee's blessing dress...yes I know I am lazy...no I don't care what you may think! Ha-Ha

#8 Favorite Shoes:

The first ones are my fave casual sandals...and the second ones are my fave work shoes!

#9 Favorite Part of My House:

I've never had a fireplace in my own home...right now the TV is sitting in front of it...but you better believe...once it gets colder and starts snowing a ton...I will be burning logs in my fireplace! I am excited!!!

#10 Dream Vacation:

Three years ago Eric and I went on a cruise. It was AMAZING! I can't wait to be able to go again in the future!

Alright...I am tagging Regan...to give her something to do! lol And anyone else who wants to play along!!

My Daybook

So, my good-ole buddy, Regan didn't tag me personally...but I felt like doing it anyway!

I am wearing: Business attire...black shirt, black skirt, black shoes...(I know, I know...who died?)...Trust me...if I had things my way...I would be wearing ratty old jammies!

I am reading: As many blogs as I can...it's my most favorite thing to do between calls here at work.

I am hearing: Co-workers on the phone with clients...and my desk fan.

I am thankful: for my job...with the way things have been going...I am happy to have mine.

I am hoping: that Eric will be able to find a new job...lickity-split!

I am creating: Hmmmm....not really creating anything at this moment...I guess this post! HA-HA!

I tag anyone else who is bored and needs something to post!

Kitty House

This past Monday was such a dreary day.

It rained and poured...and the old man snored...(the old man being Eric)...lol

Bailee and I decided to make a little "Kitty House" for Tipsee.

Question of the Day

I am answering Shark Bait's question.

If you could have lunch with one person, living or dead, who would it be?

So, I sat here thinking of all the people I could post about. I didn't know which road I wanted to take...the smart, sophisticated entrepreneur...or some sexy actor that I'd just sit there and drool over the whole time...

I decided on the latter...

Josh Duhamel is one hot mutha...you know the rest! Dayum!
